he chemist Gerard d'Hooghe constructed in the fifties of the 20th century, a machine, with the help of which he illustrated the "Springer" problem. A "Springer" tour around any starting point around. At the Leipzig Chess Olympiad in 1960, his automat "t'Zeepaard" was shown to the public. The present edition contains the illustrations of the basics for the automaton.
Condition:
Corners and edges bumped. Jacket edge wear with chips and tears, spine ends chipped else a very good copy in like jacket.
