The 2nd Capablanca Memorial was a prestigious international chess tournament held in Havana, Cuba, in 1963 (Aug 25 - Sept 24), won by GM Viktor Korchnoi. Mikhail Tal and Efim Geller tied for second place in a strong field that included elite international grandmasters, following the inaugural tournament held in 1962. Mikhail Tal, Efim Geller, and Luděk Pachman tied for 2nd–4th places half point behind the winner. Twenty two participated in this event.
The game was played in the sixth round on September 2, 1962 with the opeining E69 - King's Indian Defense: Fianchetto Variation, Classical Main Line, won by Korchnoi in 34 moves.
