Chapter 1, added for the English edition treats briefly of the rules; chapter 2 gives hints for beginners discussing elementary combinations; chapter 3 discusses general principles of strategy, which are applied, in the ensuing positions chapters 4-6, to the opening, end game and middle game with analyzed games with annotations.
