Black and white press photo (7" x 5') with a picture of Paul Keres and Nona Gaprindashvili sitting thoughtfully at the table, points to a figure with her right hand. The Estonian - Soviet grand master Keres standing next to her leans his hand on the table and watches what is going on.

This took place during the 1964/1965 Hastings chess tournament. Gaprindashvili scored 5/9 to place fifth, beating all of the British masters in the tournament. Paul Keres captured first. Paul Keres (1916-1975) was an Estonian chess grandmaster and chess writer. He was among the world's top players from the mid-1930s to the mid-1960s. Keres narrowly missed a chance at a world championship match on five occasions.

Nona Gaprindashvili (1941- ) is a Georgian chess player and the first woman to be awarded the FIDE title Grandmaster. She was the sixth women's world chess champion.

The photo is slightly faded, has slight signs of wear and marginal wear. On the back with the agency's stamp and mounted explanatory text in Czech.
