This is a pre-tournament souvenir, not the book of the tournament itself. Contains notes on the competitors, with career records, portraits and a representative game played by each; various illustrations, including reproduction of old prints, pictures of chess sets, etc; a number of articles, including "Some historic chessmen" (by Alex Hammond), "Chess facts and figures" by TR Dawson, 'The end-game today" by H M Lommer and M A Sutherland, "Some Nottingham problem composers", the Strategic French school" (of problems) by Andre Cheron.

Condition:

Wrappers separated, spine lacking, pages 45 and 6, and 97 and 98 replaced in facilities copies, wrappers with edge wear and chips else a poor copy.
