This is an extension of the Southern Counties Chess Union Yearbook, including all chess unions, although not all the individual county associations are represented in these issues. It is a record of the activities of county associations and their constituent organization, in the form of annual reports by secretaries, giving details of constitution, names of officials, results of the season and fixtures of the coming year. These publications deal chiefly with tournaments. The editorial policy changes with the 1939 issue to coverage of all important American tournaments of the period, including a few games from each. General yearbook material is also included, such as chess club directories, various articles, problems from composing tourneys etc.

Condition:

Corners heavily bumped and creased, edge wear, soiled else a good to very good copy.
