Mixed algebraic and descriptive notation. First Jonathan Penrose, tied for second and third William Hartston and Raymond Keene.

Wendell John Lutes (1938-2013) was a master chess player, chess collector and Author of nine chess opening books, including Cunningham Gambit (1990), Scandinavian Defense: Anderssen Counter Attack (1992) and Danish Gambit (1992).
