Original one sheet. Octavo (8" x 5 3/4") score sheet printed on official stationery of the event in Frantisek Pithart's hand. Signed by both Pithart and Stulik, played on November 22, 1949 with a 49 move draw.
The Prague Championship was won by Frantisek Zita with a score of 10 1/2 of 13. Second was Miroslav Filip a half point behind. Third was Frantisek Pithart with 9 1/2 points. Clear fourth was Čeněk Kottnauer with 9. Rosenblatt was one point behind Kottnauer for fifth and 8 1/2 points. Claiming sixth was Jiri Podgorny with a score of 8. Seventh through eight was Josef Louma and J Runza with 7 1/2 points each.
Vlastimil Stulik was a Czech master born in 1921.
Frantisek Pithart (1915-2003) was a Czech master receiving his norm in 1951 and a noted trainer. One of the best Czech players after World War II. He participated many time in the finals of Czechoslovak championships - his best results were sharing twice for third place in 1955 and 1965. He represented Czechoslovakia in the Chess Olympiad at Helsinki in 1952 and in the European Team Championship in 1957. He was also an author of many books and newspaper and chess articles.
