One of the last tournaments of the year in 1924 was a small double-round, four-man event in Berlin on 9-17 December, unexpectedly won by P. Johner of Switzerland ahead of Rubinstein, Teichmann and Mieses. (It was the final tournament of Teichmann's career, and he died about six months later.) Teichmann third and Mieses 4th.
