The 23rd DSB-Congress was held in Frnakfurt. Ernst Grunfeld from Austria captured first place with 7 1/2 ahead of ten other contestants. Post and Wagner were second through third with 5 1/2 points. There was also a tie for fourth through fifth; Becker and Hilse. There were several Hauptturnier played as well as the master tournament.
