The magazine was first started in 1923 by Damian Reca and the later by Roberto Grau until 1926 (The First Epoch). In 1947 Arnoldo Ellerman and Luis Marini edited the magazine which ran until 1957 (The Second Epoc), and was the official publication of the FADA (Argentine Chess Federation).
