This is the last volume in the series and was stopped before the final number and did not contain an index.
This periodical was edited by Daniel Willard Fiske and Paul Morphy. The Problem Department by E B Cook. This was one of the first magazines published in America. It was started in 1857 and lasted until 1861. It was published at the height of Morphy's popularity and presence.
Condition:
Bound in brown leather with gilt lettering to spine and original wrappers bound in. Some occasional pencil notations and checks through out small stain to heal corners, original wrappers worn with some tears and soiling else a very good copy.
