The Second Marshall International Chess Tournament was held March 10 through the 19, 1979 at the Marshall Chess Club in New York. It was a ten-round Swiss System with one round per day. Forty players from eight countries competed. The book is a record of the tournament with games, diagrams, commentary, results and photographs. Michael Rohde captured first with 8 points, followed by Leonid Shamkovich with 71/2. Tied for third through fourth were Eugene Meyer and Larry Kaufman with 7 points each.
