Ceské listy šachové founded in 1896 by Jan Kotrèem and Charles Traxler was the first chess magazine published in Czechoslovakia. It was published until 1900 when, in the same year was it was replaced by a new monthly Šachové listy.

Label on spine, liberally stamped through out by both the Prague and Vienna chess club symbols, edge wear, inner hinge cracked, front end paper beginning else a good copy.
