Includes "Anecdotes and witticisms from various sources", "Various references to chess", a chapter on the "The hobby of collecting chess pieces", and a problem section containing 21 unusual compositions by various composers, with commentary by A J Souweine. The section on chess references comprises a partial list of periodical and other references, 1697-1931.
