handwritten signatures from chess masters, including: by Grandmaster Vlastimil Hort (1944-), a Czechoslovak and later German chess Grandmaster. During the 1960s and 1970s he was one of the world's strongest players and reached the 1977–78 Candidates Tournament for the World Chess Championship, but never qualified for a competition for the actual title.

Matthias Steinbacher (1951 – 2018), was a FIDE Gansmaster. In the 80s playing for for SK Heidelberg gained a lot of experience against the German chess elite on the first board of the Chess Bundesliga. Thanks to his strong sense of position, he managed to play many meaningful strategic chess games.

Ralf Scheipl (1934- ) was a German chess master and won the German senior Chess Championship in 1995 at Oldenburg.
