The chess magazine, Arbeiter Schachzeitung, appeared from July 1912 to 1933 and was the organ of the German workers chess federation (section of the workers chess international). In 1925 the magazine had a volume of at least 32 pages per issue, a total of 392 pages. Editor of the magazine was the German Workers Chess Federation. The booklets have been published by the publisher of the Deutscher Arbeiter-Schachbund. Responsible editor: Arthur Klinke; Publisher: Emil Hofmann; Printing by Landgraf & Co. Essays written among others Walter Findeisen, Alfred Glaeser, Alfred Hartkopf, Karl Kaiser, Carl Oberle, Willy Roscher and Kurt Spiegel. The end of the magazine was caused in 1933 by the dissolution of the German Workers Chess Federation with the Nazi rise in Germany.

Spine rubbed, gilt dulled, pages age darkened as usual for this publication, stamp of "BSG Handwerk Goldlauter-Heidersbach Sektion Schach" on front end paper and titles, corners rubbed, some underlining and marginalia throughout else good.
