A posthumous work arranged and completed by William Winter; edited by W H Watts with appreciations of the late author by Emanuel Lasker, Frank J Marshall, Sir George A Thomas, W Winter, E G Twitchett and W H Watts. (Betts: 29-155) First American edition.

Yates was working on this collection of his games when he died in 1932. The work actually contains 109 games, with 30 annotated by Yates and the remainder by Winter. Also includes a table of his tournament and match results, a biographical introduction by Winter and the five appreciations.

Condition:

Corners bumped, extremities rubbed. About a very good copy lacking jacket.
