Collected and arranged by E Wallis, with an introduction by Philip H Williams, and hints to solvers by A N Brayshaw. An association copy presented to John Gilbert Nix (1847-1911) problem author and member of the American Chess Problemists.(Betts: 38-3) First edition.

Parallel English, French and German text. The problems, all miniatures (i.e. with 7 pieces or fewer) are grouped alphabetically by composer.

Condition:

Soiled, corners bumped, extremity wear, bookseller's stamp on front paste down, some internal soiling. A good to very good copy.
