Ladislav Cimburek, of Riscany, Bohemia, was a provincial court counsellor. He was a Czech, born in Strakonia in 1867 and studied law in Prague. His problems are remarkable for elegance of style and for the small number of pieces used in their construction. He took many prizes in international problems tourneys and published through out the chess world.
